Poppy and Jazz’s lives sound perfect on paper. Jazz has a new baby and Poppy’s getting married. But their realities are very different.
Poppy must strive to keep her cool new job with crazy hours, while trying to keep Ryan happy. Before she knows it her wedding has got out of control, thanks to her mother, the runners at work are bullying her, her parents are in financial difficulty and she’s doubting everything and everyone she ever knew.
Meanwhile Jazz is struggling with motherhood, something a credit card won’t fix. Why won’t this baby give her a break? Will Jazz be able to cope before she loses it?
And will Poppy make it down the aisle? Will Ryan even be waiting?

Excerpt:
“Can I interest
you in a trick, madam?”
We both turn to face my worst nightmare. A magician. A creepy magician in a checked waistcoat.
“N…No thanks,” I stammer.
“Okay, but wait, there’s something,” he whips a coin out from behind my ear. Gross! “Ah a coin! It looks like this wedding is going to cost you a pretty penny.”
“Please leave me alone,” I beg. My breathing’s becoming erratic.
It’s bringing it all back. It was my fourteenth birthday party and Mum stupidly thought it was wise to hire a magician. Everyone took the piss out of me and then the magician tried to saw me in half. Only it went wrong and he actually ended up hurting me a little. The police got called. It was kind of horrific. I’d like to say it was the worst birthday I've had, but let’s be honest, this is me we’re talking about.
“Give me your watch,” he offers, with a wild smile.
I've never liked magicians anyway. I don’t understand how the good ones do it. I’m pretty sure they’re actual wizards and that whole Harry Potter thing isn't really a work of fiction. There must be a hit out on JK Rowling for exposing their secrets. And don’t even get me started on that Dynamo guy. I think he might actually be an alien.
“Look,” Ryan says protectively, “she doesn’t want to give you her watch. So just back off.”

“Well there’s
no need to be rude,” he says, affronted. “Flat chested bitch,” he mutters under
his breath.
Tears prick my eyes immediately. Why are all magicians bastards? Why?!

In my spare time I enjoy drinking my body weight in tea, indulging in cupcakes the size of my face, drooling over hunks like Jamie Dornan, Ryan Gosling and Leo Dicaprio...oh and my husband of course! I like wearing yoga clothes and reading fitness magazines while I sit on the sofa and eat chocolate. I'm a real fan of the power nap and of course, READING!
I write not to get rich or famous, but because I LOVE writing. Even if one person tells me they enjoyed my book it makes the midnight typing worth it!
